The First Holy Mass and our present-day church is a story of hard work, determination and diligence of parishioners, priests and benefactors from far and near. With the beautiful church in Vikas Nagar, Vikaspuri, its dome visible for miles around and exquisite workmanship throughout - the people of St. Ephrem's parish are proud and grateful to the almighty. The phenomenal growth and status of the parish will continue unabated for decades. In the year 1987 the Vincentian Congregation established a House at A-11 New Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, under the leadership of Rev Fr Thomas Emprayil V.C, Superior. Since then regular liturgical services in Syro-Malabar Rite were conducted by vincention priests in the Vincentian House Vikaspuri, Punjabi Bagh, Paharganj, FrAgnel School Gautam Nagar, and Hari Nagar. In 1996 the House was approved as a Mass Centre by the Archbishop of Delhi under the parish of "Church of Our Lady of Graces", Vikaspuri.
On 1st July 2003 the parish was raised as a personal parish and was entrusted to the Vincentian Congregation with the name of St. Ephrem's Syro-Malabar Personal Parish, Vikaspuri-Harinagar. Since the establishment of the personal parish, the need for a convenient place for liturgical worship was a matter of great concern. On 19th January 2007, we managed to obtain a plot of land, about 600 sq. yards, for the construction of the Church at Shiv Vihar, Near Hastsal, Vikaspuri. On 15thAugust 2008, His Grace Vincent M. Concessao, the Archbishop of Delhi laid the foundation stone for the proposed church.

The deeply devoted way he offers Holy Mass and Novenas, such faith and love reaches out to all those who are present. He advise people to remain steadfast in their faith, his advices come straight from his heart and they are deeply moving lessons on Scripture.
